VOLUME 72 MAY 2020 NUMBER 5
TO THE CONGREGATION
Corona Virus (COVID-19). Are you as tired of this as most are? It is necessary to comply with those who advise us about this situation - so Bethany Church Council voted to suspend all Church Services, meetings and other events for as long as necessary.
They will meet again on Friday, May 1, 2020. The Office is open 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Thursday. If you have a need, we have people available who can help you. Call 570 368-8933. God Bless and protect us all, Pastor David.
HOLY COMMUNION IS CELEBRATED EVERY SUNDAY
"HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED! ALLELUIA!"
There can be no better news than "Christ, the Lord is Risen! He is risen indeed." What an exciting and beautiful day for Christians. We greet and celebrate our Lord's rising with joy and thanksgiving as well as participate in His "Feast of Love and Forgiveness."
It will be with great joy when we all can gather at the Altar at Bethany and receive Holy Communion as a family. This is our hope for the near future. We need to be cautious as we plan to resume services. Our prayer is for May, maybe May 10, Mother's Day. We will let you know for sure.

Mission Committee will sponsor the monthly tureen lunch at noon again as soon as we are able to schedule them. We look forward to that time.
